Javier Codina and François Le Savéant are the brains trust behind Moda. Hailing from Barcelona and Paris, both trained and worked in esteemed restaurants throughout Europe before securing opportunities in Brisbane and calling the city home.

In 2010, their paths converged and the two joined forces to create a dining destination that delivers unforgettable culinary experiences that wow their patrons. With Javier’s superb culinary skills and François’ charming and efficient front-of-house flair, they became the perfect duo – pouring their heart and soul into into what has become Brisbane’s go-to Spanish eatery.

Over 13 years later, the pair remain at the core of the culinary institution – now supported by a passionate and dedicated team that live and breathe the Moda experience, and work tirelessly to bring people together through exceptional food and customer service.

Savour Javier Codina’s contemporary, cosmopolitan cuisine inspired by a blend of French, Catalan and Italian influences and the freshest, finest seasonal produce. Javier’s love of fresh produce inspires him to hand select his fruit, vegetables, and herbs direct from the markets which means menu items could change daily based on what’s perfect and what is in season.

At Moda Tapas Brasa Bar, our talented team are here to pour you a pre-movie or pre-dinner drink and fix you a snack. The beautiful fit out of the bar allows guests to be seated at the bar, overlooking the restaurant. Our customers are welcome to dine at the bar or enjoy some delicious Tapas before dinner or going to the cinema. Francois has sourced an impressive range of Spanish and French as well as some great Australian Wines. We offer a shortlist of signature classic cocktails as well as the classics.

Everyone commented on the atmosphere created in the wine room with excellent service and superb food on offer.   • Dear Javier, Francois & Staff, Last night I had the privilege of being the guest of honour, at my retirement dinner in your private dining room at MODA. Whilst myself and my wife have celebrated a number of personal milestones at MODA (Edward St) over the years, none of the other guests have had that opportunity. I would just like to advise you that the evening was wonderful, with everyone ecstatically praising the room, the service, the food, the wine and especially the overall experience. Most praise was held up for the Chefs table experience, with the presentation, quality and flavours surprising and impressing my friends and colleagues. To my wife and I, it reconfirmed our existing awareness of MODA as our favorite special occasion restaurant, to the others it was a wonderful discovery.   • We enjoyed a wonderful party in the Wine Room on Friday night.  Everyone had a great time and we heard very positive feedback from our guests about the restaurant, the food and service.

    A huge thank you to Chris and Alex for looking after us. They were very happy, attentive and accommodating for the whole evening and worked very hard.

    We also appreciated Francois checking in on us throughout the evening.
