Castell D’Encus Wine Dinner – Wednesday June 17

Catalan Chef Javier Codina welcomes for the very first time in Australia, the well-respected Raul Bobet. Raul is personally introducing his ground-breaking elegant but powerful red wines to lovers of the vine. These extremely unique superb wines, grown at 1000m altitude in Castell d’Encus vineyards in the Catalan Pyrenees and Priorat regions of the far north east of Spain, are rock fermented in 12th century stone ‘lagares’ on the property.  Local historians comment that these medieval vessels were carved into the stone by the local monks.  Raul’s rock fermented wines certainly bring a new meaning to ‘minerality’. These exciting sustainably grown wines will be inspirationally paired with Javier Codina’s authentic Catalan cuisine.  A rare opportunity not to be missed!
