Beloved by tapas and wine lovers, Moda Restaurant is a boutique restaurant led by well-known chef Javier Codina and front of house host, François Le Savéant.
Located inside a stunning heritage listed building on Petrie Terrace, Moda Restaurant is considered by many to be one of the best restaurants experiences in Brisbane. It is here, inside a gorgeous, heritage-listed building once known as the Police Barracks Stable, that Javier and François combine inspired rustic cuisine with friendly, attentive service for a unique dining experience that feels like stepping inside a Spanish brasserie.
Relax and enjoy our mouth-watering Spanish-inspired menu, including extraordinary tapas, delicious entremeses and steaks grilled with a famous MIBRASA charcoal oven, paired with a Spanish, South American or boutique Australian wine. Our chef Javier Codina’s exceptional menu provides a dining experience like no other.
Our new venue, the Police Barracks Stable, once home to a nightclub in the 80s and 90s known as The Underground, creates the perfect atmosphere for a Spanish feast with its cozy brick walls, delicate lighting, leather and timber furniture, leafy al fresco terrace, and elegant wine room.
Moda caters for everything from corporate functions to intimate functions such as wedding receptions, celebration dinners and anniversaries. From the most intimate dinner or soirée to the most popular cocktail party, Moda Restaurant will provide you with an exceptional menu and a welcoming ambience.
Select from the rustic degustation menu or our chef’s table. Both feature signature courses from our menu and dishes created from fresh seasonal produce, selected by the chef for all guests at your table.
Over 10 years, Javier has cultivated excellent relationships with growers and suppliers of fresh local produce in Brisbane. He visits the markets before dawn to personally select ingredients to fuel his daily inspiration.
